This guide is for users setting up the grandMA3 onPC software on a new computer for the first time to unlock 64 DMX Universes.
Step 1: Generate the Activation Key (Fake Key)
Before running the grandMA3 software, you must use the activation tool to authorize your hardware.

Connect Hardware: Plug the DP-SL04 Key Box into your computer’s USB port.

Internet Connection: Ensure your computer is connected to the internet (required for the activation process).

Run Activation Tool:

Locate and run
Make MA3 Fake Key V1.8.exe. -
Note: The tool supports multiple languages and will automatically match your system’s language settings.

Generate Key:

Click the [GetKey] button.

The program will automatically generate and register the MA3FakeKey on your system.

Note: This is a one-time process for this specific computer. You will not need to repeat this step in the future unless you switch to a different PC or need to apply a specific bug-fix update.
💡 Key Reminders

New PC Setup: If your new computer hasn’t gone through ” Step 1 ” to generate a key on the computer, then you must do this step. It will generate a fake MA3 key on your computer, so that we can use MA3 on PC normally.

Daily Use: For daily operation, simply connect the DP-SL04 Key Box and launch the grandMA3 onPC software directly.
MA3 Fake Key Operation Guide
The MA3 Fake Key is designed to unlock parameters in the MA3 onPC software, allowing for DMX output via hardware or high-speed synchronization with 3D rendering software.
1. Optimize LAN Mode (Hardware Output Priority)
This mode is optimized for stability when connecting MA3 onPC to physical hardware.

Primary Use: Use this mode when MA3 onPC is connected to the DP-SL04 Key Box for physical DMX output.

3D Software Support: Fully compatible with 3D visualizers like Depence.

Protocol Support: Supports ArtNet and sACN.

Feature: Settings are automatically saved upon modification.

Recommendation: Best for live shows or rehearsals where physical DMX stability is the priority.
2. Optimize 3D Mode (Rendering Fluidity Priority)
This mode is specifically tuned for high-speed communication between MA3 onPC and 3D visualizers.

Primary Use: Best for visual design and pre-programming using software like Depence.

Core Advantage: Provides an extremely smooth data stream. In this mode, the synchronization between MA3 onPC and the 3D software is optimized for maximum frame rates and zero lag.

Recommendation: Use this when you need the most fluid 3D movement and real-time response in your visualizer.
Node Configuration (Universe Limits)
The Node setting determines the number of available DMX Universes. Please adjust based on your specific setup:
